 A Quick Interview With:

Rike Lutter
International Lead Recruitment Consultant

I was born in Berlin, Germany and have spent most of my life there, it was after finishing my A levels there that I had the urge to go abroad.

I spent almost a year in Wellington, New Zealand studying English and working as an Au pair, for a very lovely family. I completed a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature & Culture and business law at the University of Potsdam. During my studies I worked in Event Management and customer service, after receiving my degree I worked for almost 2 years as a Study Advisor/Recruiter. I was also self-employed for 6 years as a dog-trainer too – you see I have quite a broad background.

After a holiday in Ireland, I immediately fell in love with the country, and when I made the decision to work abroad the decision was easy.

A friend of mine, whom Careertrotter helped find a job in Dublin, referred me to Herbert, and I was lucky enough to become a part of the team and have been here since May 2014. It feels good working with Careertrotter and I am very happy to help people to establish their career path abroad!

Why I like Working at Careertrotter

I love working here at Careertrotter because we truly are an international team. The office is full of fun and interesting people and you get the chance to learn a lot. I get to work for Herbert, who allows me to grow professionally, through working with  so many different candiates and clients from around the globe and he gives me the chance to prove myself on a daily basis... and I love a challenge.

My big love is dogs, so I brought my little dog to Ireland. I enjoy walking with her on the beach; I also enjoy hiking and travelling. On weekends I like to visit museums or go to the cinema, for this, Dublin is a perfect place to be! I started Irish dancing last year and really enjoy it.

Goals for the next 2 years

My main aim is to develop professionally and to help Careertrotter grow as a company. I definitely plan to stay in Ireland as my boyfriend is from here and we are planning our future together in this beautiful country.
