Why Work Abroad?
I am originally from Denmark but I have travelled all over the world. I have worked and studied in the US and in Wales - I just didn't want to stay in Denmark. I love new cultures, meeting new people and having new adventures! For Working Abroad is the ideal option.
How did Careertrotter help you?
Careertrotter was with me from the beginning. I had looked at some of their multilingual jobs on their website and the day after registering I got a call from them. Everything was so personalized, I knew that with such a service I knew that any job that they brought to me I knew I would be interested and that it would be a perfect match to my skill set.
Rike made sure that I had everything that I needed. She kept me informed every day! (not a lot of places can say that they can contact you every day!) But it was such a comfort to have someone who told you exactly what was involved in the process, what was going to happen next and give you tips for each stage.
Even during my interviews (I had several interviews & tests to complete) Rike was there and practised with me and called me as soon as I was done with interviews to see how I got on. The best part about all of this is that there was never any doubt in my mind that Rike really wanted me to get the job! It was such a genuine experience. In the end I did get the job and I can honestly say that if it hadn't been for Careertrotter and Rike then I wouldn't be living and working in Cork right now.
Careertrotter you get 5 out of 5:
What do you think about Cork?
I think Cork is a great city with lots of life and Irish traditions! It's very different from what I am used to but the nature and history of Ireland is spectacular!
